Job Opportunities
The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is a member-based, nonprofit conservation organization established in Connecticut in 1895. CFPA’s mission is to protect forests, parks, Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails, and open spaces for future generations by connecting people to the land.
Education Contractor – School Programs (10-15 hours/week)
CFPA is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable School Programs Contractor to support and deliver environmental education programs for Pre-K–12 students. This role focuses on leading engaging, hands-on lessons both in classrooms and outdoors, and helping students explore topics like forests, wildlife, habitats, and conservation.
In addition to program delivery, this role includes coordinating with school administrators and teachers to schedule and plan programs, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for both educators and students.
You will work closely with the Education Director to prepare for and facilitate programs, primarily during the school day, with occasional opportunities for family or community events.
This is a part-time contract position (10–15 hours/week) with a flexible schedule that varies based on program bookings and school schedules.

This role focuses on coordinating program logistics, maintaining communication with participants and instructors, and helping ensure a smooth and engaging experience for all involved.
You’ll work closely with the Education Director and Education Assistant to support the planning and delivery of this flagship adult education program, which connects woodland owners with the knowledge and tools to steward their land.
This is a part-time contract position (10 hours/week) with a flexible schedule.
