Event Description
Event Description:
Turtles today face many threats and many species are now endangered or of special concern. Master Naturalist Lynn Kochiss will lead an easy-paced 2-mile walk, with a stop at the Highlawn Forest pond to look for the turtles that live close to us and are so important to our forest ecosystem.
The trail is relatively flat with some inclines.
This free event is sponsored by CFPA in collaboration with the East Hampton Senior Center. It is a follow up to Turtles in Connecticut Part 1- An Introduction at the East Hampton Senior Center on June 3rd. We invite you to attend either or both Turtle events.
PLEASE SIGN UP SEPARATELY FOR EACH EVENT.
Registration is limited, so sign up early. Dress for the weather and possible wet trails, and bring binoculars if you have them. Extreme weather cancels.
