Master Naturalist and fellow tree observer Lynn Kochiss thinks autumn is the best time to examine trees!
Using leaves is a common way to identify different species, but trees have many other distinctive features. As summer turns to fall, we will learn how to use bark, branching patterns, and buds to identify different genera and species.
We will meet for a brief presentation and then apply what we learned on the trail!
