Embark on an urban tree walk with Chris Donnelly, retired Urban Forestry Coordinator for CT DEEP.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early to give you enough time walk to the meeting location so the program can begin promptly at 9. Please wear clothing and footwear appropriate for walking around New Haven. Program will run in the event of light rain/showers.

About the Instructor:

Chris Donnelly, is an urban forester living in Northford, CT. He retired from CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, where he worked as the state’s Urban Forestry Coordinator from 1998 until 2020. In this position, he worked with partners in the cities and towns throughout the state, seeking to promote the urban forest through urban forestry efforts at the local level. Chris is a graduate of Yale College, BS biology 1975 and the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, Masters of Forest Science, 1985.
