Event Description

Gain woodland management knowledge & skills that will benefit your family, wildlife, & the environment!

CFPA is excited to offer the fifth round of the Connecticut Master Woodland Manager (MWM) program beginning in September 2025. This year-long program provides woodland owners and managers with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed decisions for their woodland, which can help enhance their lives and benefit wildlife and the environment.

The MWM program offers a flexible and interactive experience that provides both virtual and field learning opportunities. Learn from Connecticut’s top forestry and wildlife professionals, and join a community of woodland supporters!

The Master Woodland Manager program is right for you if you:

  • Own or interact with a woodland of any size
  • Value Connecticut’s woodlands and want to help steward them for future generations
  • Want to support wildlife and manage for changing conditions
  • Want to help your local economy and preserve the legacy of Connecticut’s woodlands

Applications are due July 15 for the 2025 cohort, which begins in September.
