The Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA) is a member-based, nonprofit conservation organization established in Connecticut in 1895. CFPA’s mission is to protect forests, parks, Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails, and open spaces for future generations by connecting people to the land.
Trails Conservation Coordinator - Full Time
CFPA is seeking an energetic self-starter with a passion for our trails. The Trails Conservation Coordinator (TCC) is a full-time exempt employee reporting to CFPA’s Trails Director. The staff person selected for this position will assist in negotiating and completing real estate transactions as we expand our land acquisition initiatives. The TCC will work closely with our staff, board, volunteers and partners to achieve permanent and/or greater protection of the land that hosts and keeps connected 825+ miles of the popular Blue-Blazed Hiking Trail System.

Development Assistant - Full Time
CFPA is seeking an energetic self-starter with a passion for fundraising. The Development Assistant will support the Development Director with all administrative tasks related to fundraising. The role involves complex tasks related to managing donor records, coordinating direct mail appeals, working on activities with donors, members, and donor recognition events. Strong database experience and skills are essential. We’re looking for someone passionate about CFPA’s conservation mission who can organize and manage data effectively to help us reach our revenue goals.

Education Assistant - Full Time
CFPA is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive team player passionate about environmental education to help coordinate a variety of programs for audiences of all ages. These programs include school initiatives (Pre-K–12), teacher workshops, community and family events, and adult education offerings. Key programs include Project Learning Tree workshops for educators, as well as the Connecticut Master Woodland Manager and James L. Goodwin Master Naturalist programs.
As Education Assistant, you will work closely with the Education Director and partners to plan, organize, and implement educational experiences that engage diverse audiences across the state. Your work will help foster a deeper understanding of Connecticut’s natural resources while promoting inclusivity, environmental stewardship, and lifelong learning.
