Description

Its always a good time to take a closer look at the trees making up our forest!

Join CFPA’s Education Assistant, Julia Sonen, for a walk and talk focused on the trees that characterize Connecticut’s forests. Over the course of 3 miles on the Cockaponset and Pattaconk Trails, we will introduce a variety of trees and shrubs, discuss the ecological roles they play, and learn some great tree facts. Both absolute beginners and those with some experience will enjoy diving a little deeper into the world of trees.

Please be prepared to walk 3+ miles over uneven terrain with some elevation change, and bring water and any snacks you might need.  Sunscreen, long sleeves, good hiking boots and a hat are always suggested. Well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome.
