On the Trail

In her poem Sometimes, Mary Oliver wrote, “Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.” These are not only words I live by; they are words I walk by. Slow, deliberate, intentional – I do not get anywhere quickly when I am outside.
