The Jericho Trail traverses a section of the Mattatuck State Forest known as a Cave Block because of its numerous ledge overhangs and interesting rock formations that form intricate caves and passageways. The trail crosses Jericho Brook and winds through the site of a 1986 forest fire. The trail links to the Mattatuck Trail near one of the Leatherman’s Caves and features a handful of seasonal vistas.
