The Mattatuck Trail has been relocated south of Spindle Hill Rd in Wolcott to avoid a property closure. The 0.3 mile relocation is in the vicinity of the Eversource powerline ROW.

Northbound from Peterson Park, the trail now veers left (west) just before reaching the powerlines, ascends a hillside covered in mountain laurel, crosses the powerline ROW, and in a short distance rejoins the existing trail. Please follow the new trail route which is well-marked with blue blazes. Our online interactive trail map will be updated soon with the new trail location.
