South of Rt 6 in Farmington on Rattlesnake Mountain work has started on the west anchor of the communication tower. Traffic cones and signs have been posted to notify hikers of the work.
The Metacomet trail goes under the the guy wires and occasional trail closures will be required in that area.
Initial work will take place in December and January and then resume in the spring.
