South of Rt 6 in Farmington on Rattlesnake Mountain, work has started on the west anchor of the communication tower. Traffic cones and signs have been posted to notify hikers of the work.

The Metacomet trail goes under the guy wires and occasional trail closures will be required in that area.

Initial work took place in the first half of December 2025 and will resume in January 2026.
