Across the state, Connecticut’s landscapes face growing threats. Invasive species and overdevelopment are harming forests. Extreme storms are washing out trails. Beloved green spaces risk being lost. And fewer children are growing up with a deep connection to nature. But you can change that. There are many ways to help. Becoming a member is one of the most powerful. Take action and conserve Connecticut for Today and Tomorrow.

Save Connecticut Woodlands 365 Days of the Year

Healthy forests are more than just trees. They’re the foundation for healthier communities, outdoor learning, and economic opportunity. Where forests grow, communities flourish.

Yet Connecticut forests face growing threats from invasive species, climate change, and development. The good news: Just $5 a month makes you a Woodland Hero, helping protect and care for forests, parks, and trails year-round.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I join or donate to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association?

Donating online is easy, secure, and puts your support in action immediately. Or you can contact our Development team at (860) 346-8733 to make a donation by phone.

What does my membership support?

Your membership helps care for Connecticut’s forests, parks, and 825+ miles of Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails. It supports hands-on trail stewardship, land conservation, environmental education, and advocacy that protects the places you love.

Is my membership donation tax-deductible?

Yes! CFPA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, and your membership donation is tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by law. Your donation acknowledgment, thanking you for your gift, will include any specific details you need about the portion of your contribution that is tax-deductible.

How long does my membership last?

Memberships last for one year from the date of your gift. If you become a Monthly Donor (a Woodland Hero), your support continues automatically and helps even more.

Can I give a membership as a gift?

Absolutely. A CFPA membership makes a meaningful gift for birthdays, holidays, or just because. A Gift Membership allows you to give a one-year full membership, including benefits, to your designated recipient. A Memorial Gift recognizes someone special who has passed away and includes an acknowledgment of your gift to their loved ones. And a Honorary Gift is a special way to honor life milestones like birthdays or anniversaries, with an acknowledgment of your gift sent to the honoree.
