John Hibbard, CFPA’s longtime Executive Director, continued his legacy of conservation with a gift of 100+ acres of family forestland in northern Woodstock. This property’s undulating topography, stonewalls, mixed hardwood forest and extensive wetlands make it very valuable for conservation. These features also create potential for a future trail loop with forestry educational signage and educational events. John’s work in the conservation field over the last 50 years has been unparalleled, and we thank him for all that he has done and continues to do for CFPA and the citizens of CT.
