The Challenge of Trails and Times

For the past twenty-some years, my wife and I have been taking notes about the trails we have walked. Stephanie writes them by hand into lap-sized spiral notebooks as part of our evening routine. A slightly bowed wooden shelf in our den shelters these treasured “fun logs,” from which we read aloud whenever we feel moved to recollect our adventures.
