Are you ready to share your favorite outdoor spot with your community? By leading an event for Connecticut Trails Day, you become a vital part of our state’s largest outdoor trail celebration. It’s a fun and rewarding way to connect people with the places you love.

How to Become a 2026 Leader

Event registration is open from February 23 to May 1, 2026. Getting started is easy:

 

1. Plan Your Event

Think about a hike, paddle, bike ride, educational walk, or trail maintenance project you’d like to lead. Not sure where to start? Check out our Leader Resources Page for tips and inspiration.

2. Register Your Event

Once you have a plan, submit it through our official registration portal. This gets your event on the map and into our official guide.

3. Spread the Word & Get Outdoors!

This is the fun part! Once your event is registered, it’s time to scout your trail and tell your community about your adventure. We’ll help you succeed by sharing promotional tips and important updates in our Leader E-News—make sure you’re signed up!
