Event Description

Hosted by CT DEEP, explore the world beneath the trees with special guest Beth Merow. Join us for a fun, hands-on nature program for kids (ages 3–12) and their families. Through playful activities inspired by Project Learning Tree, we’ll discover how trees grow, why they matter, and what lives in and around them. It’s the perfect adventure for curious minds and their grown-ups who love to learn, play, and spend time in nature.

Beth Merow is the Education Director at Connecticut Forests and Park Association and state co-coordinator for Project Learning Tree, where she supports educators in using forests as dynamic, hands-on classrooms. With over 20 years of experience in environmental education, Beth inspires curiosity and connection to the natural world in learners of all ages.
