Description
Join Renee Smith for a 6-mile loop hike that includes a portion of the Regicides Trail and features a trap rock ridge with sweeping views, a beautiful lake, and a visit to Judges Cave – a local landmark where Edward Whalley and William Goffe, two of the “judges” who signed Charles II’s death warrant, allegedly hid from Royalist bounty hunters in 1661. This is generally a moderate hike. Portions of the Regicides Trail are moderate to difficult, with some steep and vertiginous sections and a few scrambles. We’ll go at a moderate pace with frequent stops to enjoy our surroundings.
