Event Description
Each year as autumn leaves fall, homeowners get out rakes and lawn& leaf bags, ready to face the task of collecting piles of leaves. All through the process they keep saying “There must be a better way!” Actually, there is — Leave the leaves! They make a natural mulch for your garden and flower beds and provide homes for overwintering insects, reptiles and amphibians. Join Master Naturalist Lynn Kochiss for an introduction to how not raking helps everyone.
This free event is sponsored by The East Hampton Senior Center in collaboration with CFPA.
Sign up directly with the East Hampton Senior Center by calling 860-267-4426. Please indicate if you are an East Hampton Senior Center member, or an interested member of the general public.
