Description
Join us for a forest instruction on Avenza, a user-friendly mobile mapping software. This program will be a repeat of November 8th’s program
Julia will lead attendees through a series of exercises designed to familiarize them with various utilities for location and tracking, and measuring distances and areas. Avenza is a handy tool to know how to use when mapping your own property for your woodland survey!
This is a repeat of the November 8th program at the same location.
Prerequisites:
1) Download Avenza app on your smartphone and make sure it opens and functions properly.
2) Already watched the Avenza presentation on YouTube (click here) or in Module 3 of the online learning.
The group will be meeting in the parking area near the Game Refuge Forest Office located on Barn Door Hill Road (not Salmon Brook Street). This program will run rain or shine. Please dress accordingly as the program will take place outdoors.
