MWM 11/12/26: Introduction to CT's Native Shrubs
When we think of a forest, we usually consider majestic oaks, towering poplars, and enormous white pines. But many plants have adapted to grow as understory trees and shrubs, and these are especially important in a forest’s life cycle after a harvest or natural disruption such as fire or windstorm. This session will introduce you to a number of small trees and shrubs and how they support wildlife, as well as planting and location characteristics.
