Join CT DEEP’s Western Region Service Forester David Beers as he provides instruction on Avenza, a user-friendly mobile mapping software.

Dave will lead attendees through a series of exercises designed to familiarize them with various utilities for location and tracking, and measuring distances and areas. Avenza is a handy tool to know how to use when mapping your own property for your woodland survey!

Prerequisites:

1) Download Avenza app on your smartphone and make sure it opens and functions properly.

2) Already watched the Avenza presentation on YouTube (click here)

The group will be meeting in the parking area near the Game Refuge Forest Office located on Barn Door Hill Road (not Salmon Brook Street).
