Connecticut is the fourth most densely populated state in the nation. It also boasts one of the highest rates of urban tree cover nationally. Urban forests are an integral part of Connecticut’s forest matrix, although their importance is often overlooked. Join us to discuss the human dimension of urban forests in Connecticut. We will be highlighting current issues of significance in Connecticut’s urban forests, including climate change, value sets around urban forests, diverse forest uses, leaders in urban forest management, and we will highlight some environmental justice issues currently being experienced in Connecticut’s urban areas.
