Description

A slow paced walk along trails with some hills. Mainly forested land along the CT River. The focus of the hike will be observing, listening and noticing birds and nature in a relaxed, enjoyable manner. This hike is more about connecting w/ nature, appreciating birdsongs- behavior rather than just identification. I will invite you to participate in a 10-15 minute sensory awareness meditation (SAM) at the start. After the SAM, we’ll explore several places throughout the park.    Recommendations: wear sturdy footwear, Dress for the weather, Bring water, binoculars and or smart phone/Merlin app

I’m a dog lover but no dogs on this hike. Stormy or dangerous weather cancels.

Will meet near the Gazebo.
