Description
This is a simple, low-cost, unsupported winter ultra for runners who enjoy long days, cold weather, and good company. The challenge: run up to 50 miles over 15 hours (900 minutes) in classic New England winter conditions.
Registration includes a suggested $20 donation to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association (CFPA). Please sign up only if you truly plan to participate.
The event will be based at CFPA headquarters in Rockfall (Middlefield), CT. Runners will have access to a heated meeting room with real bathrooms, a full kitchen, coffee, hot water, and space to stash a small amount of personal gear (one tote or duffel).
Parking is very limited (15 spaces). A nearby commuter lot is available, and carpooling is required—at least two runners per vehicle.
Aid is minimal: s’mores outside over a Solo Stove. Bring all food and supplies you’ll need. The event is cupless. No crews.
