Governance

CFPA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors responsible for our long-term health, financial stewardship, and faithfulness to our mission: connecting people to Connecticut’s forests, parks, and Blue-Blazed Hiking Trails, and ensuring these special places are protected and well managed for future generations.

Much of the board’s work happens in standing committees. Each committee focuses on one area of responsibility, brings recommendations to the full board, and operates under a written charter that the board has formally ratified. We share these charters so members, donors, partners, and anyone who cares about Connecticut’s woodlands can see how CFPA makes decisions.
