The Mattabesett section of the New England Trail (NET) will be temporarily closed in Middletown at the Highland Pond Preserve (between Bell St and Atkins St) starting May 6, 2026 for trail accessibility and parking access improvements. This closure is expected to be in place for a few weeks.
