Bequest Language
Creating the legacy you wish to leave is a powerful way to make an enduring impact. A gift in your will, trust, or IRA/retirement plan serves as a meaningful reflection of your conservation ethic and protects the future of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association, ensuring we can remain a strong, independent advocate for the state’s forests, parks, and trails through any economic climate.
Your gift can be designated as a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder after other provisions are met. This structure often allows you to be generous to both CFPA and your family and, in some cases, reduce the impact of taxes.
Our federal tax ID number is: 06-0613430
Below is suggested language to use when drafting your bequest.
Sample Language
For an unrestricted gift that allows the Connecticut Forest & Park Association to determine how to use the funds based on the most pressing needs, use the following language for your will and/or trust:
I direct that $_______ or ______% of my estate be distributed to the Connecticut Forest & Park Association, 16 Meriden Road, Rockfall, CT 06481
If you have named the Connecticut Forest & Park Association in your will, trust, or IRA/retirement plan, please let us know so we can ensure that your gift is used according to your wishes. Notifying us of your plans will enable us to plan for the use of your future gift. However, if you prefer to remain anonymous, we will keep your name and gift in strict confidence.
