Description
POSTPONED TO 2/28/2026 DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
Discover sweeping views and classic traprock scenery on this moderate 5.6-mile hike in Middlesex County along the Tynan Connector to Mount Higby.
This out-and-back route climbs steadily through mixed hardwood forest before reaching open ledges with expansive views of the Connecticut River Valley, nearby ridgelines, and surrounding towns. The trail features rocky footing and gradual elevation gain, offering a satisfying challenge without technical difficulty.
At the summit, wide stone overlooks invite a well-earned break before the return hike. With its balance of effort and reward, this hike is ideal for those ready to step up from easy terrain and experience one of central Connecticut’s standout ridgeline destinations.
