SUMMARY:Tree ID Hike
DESCRIPTION:Its always a good time to take a closer look at the trees making up our forest! \nJoin CFPA’s Education Assistant\, Julia Sonen\, for a walk and talk focused on the trees that characterize Connecticut’s forests. Over the course of 3 miles on the Cockaponset and Pattaconk Trails\, we will introduce a variety of trees and shrubs\, discuss the ecological roles they play\, and learn some great tree facts. Both absolute beginners and those with some experience will enjoy diving a little deeper into the world of trees. \nPlease be prepared to walk 3+ miles over uneven terrain with some elevation change\, and bring water and any snacks you might need.  Sunscreen\, long sleeves\, good hiking boots and a hat are always suggested. Well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome.
