Group Hike For Metacomet Trail Landowners

Meet the Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s Trails Protection Coordinator, Jeb Stevens, and join other landowners of the Metacomet Trail for an easy Friday afternoon hike on the trails of Highlawn Forest, located at the Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s headquarters in Middlefield! Trails like the Metacomet are gems that offer access to some of Connecticut’s finest hiking and it’s thanks to YOU! As a landowner that hosts a section of one of these trails, your incredible generosity brightens the lives of the many people that use them to explore Connecticut wild spaces. So come out, meet some other folks that host a piece of trail on their land, and learn more about the organization that manages these incredible recreational resources.

This event is free. In the event of light rain it will run as scheduled but heavy rain will cancel.

Please dress for the weather and wear shoes appropriate for walking on forest trails. The trails are pretty gentle but there are some rocks. The hike itself will be around 2 miles, depending on the interests of the group.
