Event Description
Acorn Adventures – Every Tree for Itself
Come join this fun movement simulation where children K-6 can better understand the conditions that trees need to live and grow and often compete for their needs. After playing several rounds of this activity we will compare results and also think about how foresters might use their knowledge of competition in caring for a stand of trees. Participants will also get a real cross section of a tree branch or trunk (tree “cookies”) to take home and make a paper plate tree cookie timeline of their own life so far.
Registration Required. To register, email breid@tlgv.org.
