Event Info:
Discover ways to challenge the youth in your programs to explore age-appropriate environmental issues – from the indoors to the outside. Do you teach or volunteer at a nature center, museum or other nonformal education facility? Do you enjoy the out-of doors and sharing that joy with children? Need ideas for outdoor adventures or inside fun during stormy days? Gear up for simple, inexpensive activities that keep your group interested while learning. Help teach your audience how to think, not what to think, about the environment. This hands-on Project Learning Tree (PLT) workshop is geared toward the nonformal educator; formal educators are welcome to participate.
Project Learning Tree (PLT) activities suit different learning styles, meet education standards and teach through experiences in nature.
Participants receive:
- Project Learning Tree activity guide
- Copy of the CT Walk Book (East or West)
- CEU’s
- Light refreshments
- Association with other educators across the states
- Eligibility to receive GreenWorks! grants from PLT
Register: Send in completed registration form or contact CFPA for a copy: info@ctwoodlands.org or 860-346-TREE.
