METACOMET TRAIL- NORTH OF BRADLEY MOUNTAIN

This reroute on the Metacomet Trail was completed to move the trail from the busy RT72/RT84 overpass to a safer, off-road location.  The new route (running south to north) now runs into New Britain Ave. and exits on Esther Street.  The Trail then turns right onto Black Rock Ave followed by a left on Wooster St.  Take a final left onto RT372 and the new route rejoins the existing trail. The old section of the Metacomet, which ended on a side street, is still in existence but it has been re-blazed with a blue/red blaze and now functions as an access trail. (Map ME 4a)
